Riot of Colors partnered with the City of Atlanta to translate complex climate and sustainability initiatives into culture-driven, engaging, accessible digital experiences that help residents, stakeholders, and policymakers better understand the city’s environmental goals.
Our work focused on transforming dense policy documents—such as the Climate Resilience Action Plan and the Clean Energy Initiative—into visually compelling, story-driven platforms that combine data visualization, interactive maps, narrative design, and references to the culture of Atlanta seamlessly.
By integrating GIS-based storytelling, parallax layouts, and Du Bois–inspired infographic techniques, we created digital tools that allow users to explore Atlanta’s climate vulnerabilities, resilience strategies, and clean energy commitments intuitively and transparently.
Through this work, Riot of Colors helped the city present its long-term sustainability vision in a format designed for public engagement, education, and policy communication. The platforms were built to support multiple audiences—including residents, community organizations, and decision-makers—while also positioning Atlanta’s climate leadership on a global stage as the city prepares for major international moments such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will feature the branding.
The result is a scalable digital storytelling ecosystem that combines civic data, design, and emerging technology to make complex climate initiatives understandable, actionable, and inspiring.
